This series follows the opening two chapters of Luke’s Gospel narrative. The readings for the Advent season are often thematic rather than chronological. I have found this to be confusing for myself and for some parishioners. Perhaps you’ve had the question, “Wait, how was John the Baptist an adult last week, but in the womb this week?” This series avoids such confusion by following Luke’s narrative scene by scene. Each week, the Gospel reading will focus on a different character in the story and how God speaks through that particular character.
